CBD and additional ingredients in our hydractive drops are designed in a way to optimize their absorption in our body, referred to as bioavailability. These naturally hydrophobic molecules are encapsulated in micelles using an award winning Swiss encapsulation technology, which once dispersed in water, maximises their absorption rate in our body and hence makes them highly effective.

CBD is not naturally compatible with water. To form as a single liquid, CBD and water require the help of arabic gum which acts as a surfactant. Arabic gum has the ability to bind to water as well as to oily substances such as CBD as it is made of both hydrophobic (oil loving) and hydrophilic parts (water loving). To minimise the undesirable contacts between the hydrophobic part and the water, the molecules of arabic gum take the shape of a sphere called micelle.

Basically, your body is composed of more than 60% water. In order for your metabolism to absorb an oily substance you need to make it water soluble as otherwise most of it would be destroyed by your stomach acid. Our micelle technology forms “micro capsules” around oily substances, it allows the capsules to penetrate inner membranes of your body while protecting the oily substance from being destroyed by your digestive system.
